Reviews
“...very important for new and experienced handlers... very convenient... a great tool.”
- John Vlasic, Schutzhund Training Director in British Columbia
“The instructions...are clear and easy to read. Ms. Preston followed the instructions with samples of completed log sheets... covers every possible condition. What I especially liked and think is a great idea is the Contents
section at the beginning of the book.”
- Susan Bulanda, K-9 SAR Trainer/Handler and Incident Commander

For professionals, volunteers and sport dog trainers
The Canine Scent Work Log is a new tool for handlers of tracking, search and detector
dogs. The Log includes instructions, samples and templates to record seventy-five
work sessions. Documentation of training is fast and thorough with the Log’s data
entry prompts, mapping diagram and note space. The self-built table of contents allows
trainers to quickly review a dog’s scent work history.
Whether you train military or law enforcement patrol or detector dogs, search dogs
working in avalanche, wilderness or disaster scenarios, or aim for Schutzhund or
AKC tracking titles, the Canine Scent Work Log enables more focused training.
The Canine Scent Work Log is sized to fit inside standard planner covers. As the
book should be used for a single dog, handlers who are simultaneously training multiple
dogs may prefer a cover that holds several volumes of the Log. Covers are available
at most office supply stores.
